Reporting to and with the support of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Career Development and Education, the Director of Business Engagement will have the following goals: (1) develop a business engagement model for campus that supports talent recruitment and the cultivation and stewardship of industry partners to meet a variety of campus needs as well as promotes information sharing and collaboration across campus; (2) build the infrastructure to support the business engagement model, including creating the organizational chart and writing position descriptions; (3) transition existing staff into new roles with appropriate support and hiring new staff; (4) supervise the Business Engagement team, a group of approximately 20 professionals, setting annual goals, evaluating performance, and supporting career development; (5) and develop a unit-level strategic plan in support of the career center’s goals and regularly assess and report on progress.
