Reporting to and with the support of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Career Development and Education, the Director of Academic Partnerships will have the following goals: (1) develop a new model that supports the integration of academic schools’ priorities for career development into the career center and career education through career courses and online resources; (2) build the infrastructure to support the academic partnerships model, including creating the organizational chart and writing position descriptions; (3) transition existing staff into new roles with appropriate support and hiring new staff; (4) supervise the Academic Partnerships team, a group of approximately 12 professionals, setting annual goals, evaluating performance, and supporting career development; and (5) develop a unit-level strategic plan in support of the career center’s goals and regularly assess and report on progress.
