The Community of Concern Team (CCT) assists the university in handling situations involving the safety and well-being of students. As such, the CCT is committed to fostering student success and campus safety through a proactive, collaborative, and systematic approach to the identification, intervention, and support of students of concern while empowering all university community members to create a culture of caring.
The CCT is convened through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and consists of members from the Dean of Students office, Residential Life, Student Health Services, the Office of Student Conduct, and the Washington University Police Department, in consultation with the Office of General Counsel. The CCT also works closely with representatives from the schools.
Faculty, staff, parents, and other students are often the first to notice concerning behavior from a student. If you know of a student who may be in distress, please contact Laura Sandoval-Sweeney at email@example.com or 314-935-2595 during regular business hours or the Washington University Police Department at 314-935-5555 on nights or weekends.
